So you have been asked to be a judge in one of jpeg2RAW's Photo Challenge's or Contest, glad you are here.  Below is a short guide to help you with the process.

  • Of course you need to be a member here in the forums.
  • After an admin has given you the proper permissions, head over the the "Gallery" link on the Menu above.  You should see a window similar to the one below:

photochallengegallery.png

  • Once you click on the link noted above, you should see a page like the one below.  Pick the album for the month you are supposed to review:

  • You should now be able to see individual images and you are ready to start this initial round of voting.  Take some time to review every image and give each one a Star rating.  Then for your top 3 (make sure you pick no more or less than 3), click the "Follow" button in the upper right hand corner (see example below).  If your image is one of the images submitted, then you can pick 4 images to follow.

Once everyone has voted, the top 3 images followed will make it to the final round of voting.  This round is done in greater detail and through an entirely different process which will be explained separately.

Questions?  Post them below.

A tip that might come in handy.  When reviewing an image, you can click on it to make it bigger, in some cases.  When you click on it, the image should "pop out" and the rest of the screen goes dark.

Still not big enough for you?  Well there is another step you can take for those images that need a little closer inspection.

While looking at the image, click on the "Options" menu on the upper right hand side.  You should then get a drop down with several choices.  Pick the "View all sizes" option.

Image Sizes - 1.png

Then you are taken to a screen with several size options going from Thumbnail (300x300) all the way to Large.  Large is limited to the lessor of 1920px on the long end or the size of the original image submitted to jpeg2RAW.

Click on the above images if they are too small to read.
